“Prohibition… goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man’s appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.” —commonly attributed to Abraham Lincoln c. 1840
Today’s the last day of early voting, and we’re encouraging everyone to beat the rain tomorrow by voting at the Clark County Courthouse today. Remember to vote FOR the Clark County Initiative on the last page.
If you’re registered to vote in Clark County, don’t miss your chance to bring about historic change and an opportunity for sustainable growth in our county!
The Rally on the Ravine is a community pride rally centered around the Battle of the Ravine, and it begins today. There are tons of family-oriented events this afternoon and tomorrow morning. I’ll be downtown this afternoon and tailgating in the HSU intramural fields in the morning.
Leadership Clark County Class II organized the Rally on the Ravine in furtherance of goals set in the Clark County Strategic Plan. These goals seek to more closely link our two most valuable assets, HSU and OBU, to the broader community at large. Please come out and help our community grow by supporting LCC.
Early voting continues today through Monday.
Herer in Clark County, early voters can cast their ballots at the Clark County Courthouse. Tomorrow and Friday the Courthouse is open 8am–6pm. Saturday, they’re open 10am–4pm, and Monday from 8am–5pm. Voting is the least time-consuming, most important civic activity we can all do. Please go vote!
