Town hall meeting

I’ll be participating in a town hall meeting on the campus of Henderson State University in the Garrison Center Auditorium today at 5:00pm. We’ll be discussing the wet/dry issue and why A Vote for Growth believes Clark County should vote wet. The town hall is geared towards answering questions of HSU and OBU students and faculty, but everyone’s invited. Come on out.

Why I'm voting wet

1. Tax revenues for public schools
2. Educating children to make responsible choices
3. Up to 9.5% taxes on the sale of alcohol for the county general fund
4. Reduction of our $108,000,000 retail leakage to other counties
5. Alcohol-related traffic deaths are lower in wet counties
6. Long-term, sustainable growth like Mountain Home has seen
7. News reports of positive growth by other newly-wet communities
8. Personal freedom
9. As a growth model, being dry hasn’t worked for 70 years
10. Locally-owned stores are greener
